Not sure if you're still active on here, but if so, you might want to try eBay for a replacement analog board. I just bought a new old stock board, complete with flyback transformer, for a C-note. There were 2 available from the seller I bought it from as of my message to you here. The other one's still available: www.ebay.com/itm/203130731683 Of course, you'd have to feel comfortable taking apart brittle plastics. Thankfully, the original fan-cooled G3 iMacs seem to hold up better than their convection-cooled counterparts, where heat certainly takes its toll. Good luck!

Man, I need a browser that will work on modern environment for my iBook G4. I bought it for about 40 dollars, came with 2 chargers and 3 Airport Extreme cards. I'm using TenFourFox but that browser is slow as hell.

They flicker is because the cameras refresh rate and the screens refresh rate do not match. It's a very common thing with CRT monitors.

I purchased one for $30 myself yesterday and it looks like the OS needs to be freshly installed, and I might install either Mac OS 9.2.1, Mac OS X 10.0.4 Cheetah, or Mint PPC 11.

@macinstitch Try using Hand sanitizer on paper towel and wipe with a few strokes it will take it off.

the imac g3's only was 28.8 pounds so not that heavy now the Emac on the other hand was 38.8 pounds now that's heavy trust me i have two of them i also have 2 imac g3's all found in the trash and work great

Mine was $1800 when I first bought it. Just gave it to a buddy for charity or to raise money for Scouts by recycling. On one bad move I incorrectly formatted the hard-drive and lost everything, but I kept the hard drive hoping that some day I can recover the data. When I bought mine, it came with OS 9 and you could boot into OS 10 when it came out.

Better to have a DVD-ROM built in on an iMac back then than spend $80 more to get that same capability on today's iMacs. Not to mention that even USB 3.0 isn't as speedy as integrated.

Anyone that has grown up going to school between the mid '80s and mid '90s no doubt knows what at least one kind of Apple II computer can and can't do. It always seemed that every classroom had one of these in the corner.

Certainly seems to shut down faster than most modern iMacs, even with a Fusion Drive and/or SSD.

I suddenly miss the pre-OS X versions of Mac OS. I remember using Macs in a couple of classes of high school back in the mid to late '90s, and just how things were then. Knowing that I've been a Windows user since the 3.1 era, I've always wanted to own a Mac of my own, but...that never really happened until last week. Although I might scour eBay for a classic version of the Mac to back to the era I remember, and have it as a collectible. We'll see how things go.

With the sonnet G4 Processor it works. I have still a G3 upgraded with a 300 GHz processor but no way to bring it to Tiger. I built in a firewire and USB card in it. It's amazing how far you can update this machines.

What kind of monitor are you using? I've got a graphite G4 Gigabit Ethernet, running OS 9.2.2 with an ATI Rage 128 card and a Sony 19" CRT monitor, and am looking to get a Radeon 7000 to use (hopefully) a Samsung 24" LCD widescreen monitor. It looks like you're not using the VGA port. Does the 7000 have a DVI port?

anyone advise me on a possible fix. I have a g4 a1055. It freezes just when its about to boot. i took it apart and if i press my finger at one end of the heatsink, it boots up everytime. Is this an easy fix or is something broken or loose on the chip. i think it maybe the graphics chip because it does everything as normal until it boots to desktop. Thnx for any help

I bought an imac g3 blueberry at a garage sale for $1.00. It had the mouse, but no power cord. I ordered a cord from eBay. I'm hoping it works. The guy I bought if from had no clue if it worked, the price was nice. Do you upgrade for people?
